The Aquatest solution

Aquatest is unique.  It provides users with actionable information on water contamination levels, taking reliable quantitative water testing out of the lab and direct to the water source – without huge cost or effort.  You do not have to be highly skilled to use it.  It is not expensive to deploy and it does not involve days or weeks or complex lab processing to deliver accurate results, when and where they are needed.

Aquatest is designed for use in developing countries and can be used in the field, without electricity or skilled technicians.  We hope that widespread use of this device will help identify unsafe water supplies, enabling governments, NGOs and communities to improve access to safe water.

Who will Aquatest help most and how?

  • Water engineers and other professionals: water management specialists working in a professional capacity and trained in water quality monitoring. Health and education professionals with responsibility for outbreak investigations and for water supplies in schools and clinics.
  • Community groups and volunteers: non-specialists who might not be trained in water quality monitoring. This includes community groups managing their own water supplies and community-based water supply operators.  This user group will know when water is contaminated and will be encouraged to identify and resolve problems with supply systems or to treat their water before use. This will include boiling or chlorinating water, checking for contamination and improving shared water supplies.

The above information, combined with the Aquatest animation explains exactly how Aquatest is put to work in the field and the benefits it delivers in terms of accuracy, time and cost savings.
