Zhuoren previously held the position of lecturer, teaching English as a Second Language at a Chinese university specialising in foreign languages. He later served as the head of an internationalised school in China for seven years. These professional experiences have fostered a reflective approach in his engagement with issues relating to school leadership and international education, informing his doctoral studies at the SoE, UoB.
