Biography
Valerie has been working in HE Research Development at the University of Bristol since 2001, first in the Education Department, and then in DREI, working with the Faculty of Arts, Law and Social Sciences.
As Research Development Manager, she provides strategic support relating to UK research grant funding, and coordinates the strategic development of research activities. Her role includes horizon scanning, training, provision of expert advice and guidance in the development of major research proposals, and management of the response to strategic funding initiatives.
