Biography
Sophie is a Lecturer in Veterinary Practice (Small Animal Medicine) at the Bristol Veterinary School. In addition to her teaching role, she continues to work on a part-time basis as a veterinary surgeon in private veterinary practice.
Sophie holds leadership positions within the School and is involved in educational research focussing on curriculum development on the veterinary surgeon courses at the school.
Sophie graduated from the Bristol Veterinary School, with an intercalated degree in Cellular and Molecular Medicine from the University of Bristol. She has additional postgraduate qualifications in veterinary diagnostic imaging and education. She is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Research interests
Research interests within veterinary education are curriculum development and spectrum of care.
Teaching
Sophie teaches across the Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) and Accelerated Graduate Entry Programme (AGEP) courses for veterinary surgeons and the VNCAB and VNBS courses for veterinary nurses. She holds a year lead position for the third year of the BVSc course and a rotation lead position for the final year of the course.
