Biography
My scientific profile is characterised by a strong focus on understanding the effect of housing and management on animals’ subjective (emotional) state. My main research interests are developing and validating novel cognitive and physiological measures of animal emotions to comprehend what drives individual differences in the welfare of animals kept under similar living conditions.
I have previously been involved in academic research in animal welfare science on an international platform (UK, Canada) working with farm animals (dairy cows, horses), companion (dogs) and laboratory animals (rats, mice).
