Biography
Aerospace professional and educator with over two decades of experience in handling R&D, technology forecast, product development and leadership responsibilities in A&D industry
Currently serving as the Deputy Program Director (Aerospace-UG) and an academic faculty member in the Aerospace Department of the University of Bristol, one of the Russell Group of Universities in the UK - responsible for overall management of the academic program for alignment with pedagogic and industrial standards and teaching various aspects of aircraft design, sustainable aviation and airframe structures & materials; also engaged in research on composite structures as part of BCI & NCC teams
In previous capacities in an A&D OEM, played various roles including project lead & program manager for multiple UAV / technology projects and technology lead for composite materials & manufacturing, had been a member of the Indian Aircraft Research & Development Board (AR&DB) panel, peer reviewer for scientific journal, expert member for several technical review panels / committees etc.
Subject matter expert for aero-structures and new age composite materials & manufacturing processes; niche specializations in structures-electromagnetic interactions including EMI/ EMC, radome, stealth, lightning protection, ESD, conformal antennae etc.; also experienced in technologies like FO based diagnostic SHM and morphing / adaptive structures
Member of several technical / professional societies; discharged responsibilities as the National Secretary for ISAMPE during 2013-17
Received several awards and recognitions; credited with 3 international patents and 30+ technical publications
