Research interests
My research examines the print culture of 19th century Bengal. I look at women's magazines in circulation in late 19th and early 20th centuries Bengal, and how they acted as a platform for Bengali women's writing and negotiation with the nationalist and colonialist patriarchy. My work entails consultation with historical archives on colonial Bengal.
My research interests include periodicals and print cultures, and 19th and 20th century women's writing in India.
