Biography
Science Communication and Public Engagement specialist.
Senior Engagement & Impact Officer for COMET (Centre for Observation & Modelling of Earthquakes Volcanoes and Tectonics), an association of 14 universities and several research institutes based in the Earth Sciences department of Bristol. Regular working hours: Monday (full) and Tuesday (morning only).
Public Engagement Associate for the Faculty of Science & Engineering, supporting researchers from Earth Sciences, Geography, Chemistry, Physics, and Maths. Regular working hours: Wednesday, Thursday (full) and Friday (mornings only).
Previous engagement experience also as manager of the Bristol Dinosaur Project from 2016 to 2024 and Ranger at Bristol Zoo Gardens.
Masters degree in Palaeontology & Evolution (Joint Honours Biology & Geology), with a thesis focusing on Jurassic crustaceans during an ocean anoxic event.
Scientific author and palaeontological consultant, with several popular science and children’s educational books.
