Research interests
I’m doing a PhD in sociology (ESRC +3), and I'm writing a dissertation about digital content distribution platforms in scholarly publishing. I'm mostly using ideas from science and technology studies (STS), economic sociology and publishing studies. I'm also interested in metadata, and I'm currently collaborating with colleagues from the University of Melbourne on the sociology of bibliographic classification systems such as BISAC and Thema. Alongside my PhD, I commission books on research methods and practices, and social studies of science and technology, for Bristol University Press.
