The working title of my thesis is Building climate records of the 8.2 kyBP event using H isotope composition of archaeological biomolecules.
I will be working on archaeological samples from the 8th and 9th millennia BP, initially focusing on lipids extracted from West Asian potsherds. This work will, I hope, expand upon the results obtained by Roffet-Salque et al. (2018) concerning the impact of the 8.2 ky BP event on the first farmers and last hunter-gatherers.
