Nan Zeng is a PhD candidate in Anthropology at the School of Art, University of Bristol, U.K. Her doctoral research focuses on four rural Chinese craftsman families, exploring how they negotiate their "cultural mission" amid China's heritage boom and evolving policy landscapes. Her broader research interests include material culture, heritage studies, museum studies, and kinship studies, particularly in relation to state policies and local responses.
