Research interests
I am an applied health care researcher with a particular interest in coeliac disease and the use of tests for the purpose of diagnosing or monitoring disease.
Currently, I am the quant lead and programme manager on an NIHR Programme Grant for Applied Research on optimal testing aiming to develop evidence-based testing strategies to monitor long-term conditions in primary care.
My expertise is in evidence synthesis, including diagnostic test accuracy reviews, and routinely collected health care data analyses (such as CPRD and HES).
I recently completed an NIHR HTA project on improving case finding in coeliac disease. I am interested in continuing my research on coeliac disease, in particular on the accuracy of the “no biopsy” pathway for diagnosing coeliac disease and improving disease monitoring and follow up care after diagnosis.
