Waves in Broken Ice
As the relative lengthscale of broken ice in the Marginal Ice Zone is small compared to the wavelength of the waves propogating through it, investigating both scattering and attenuation effects at a macro scale, without the necessity of solving locally, is of interest for both mathematical and physics curiosity and for developing effective climate models.
