Research interests
My main research interests lie with the legal determinants of health to remedy health inequalities.
My PhD research focuses on constructing, as well as testing, new indicators for a human rights-based approach to cancer control. My background in law and human rights allows me to adopt a new position on health governance.
I currently work at the International Atomic Energy Agency on the PACT programme to improve access to radiotherapy in low- and middle-income countries.
In parallel to my PhD and my current role, I lead a public engagement project on breast cancer: ‘The People Behind the Numbers’. The project culminated in a vitual exhibition in partnership with the London Global Cancer Week 2022 and a Perspective published in The Lancet Oncology.
I am a honorary member of the University of Bristol Law School, where I am affiliated with the Centre for Health, Law, and Society and the Human Rights Implementation Centre. I am a member of the Economic and Social Rights Academic Network of the UK and Ireland.
