Biography
I completed my MA in Translation Studies (German-English) in 2014 at the University of Exeter and worked as a freelance translator across various technical subjects. I joined the University of Bristol in 2015, as Administrative Assistant and then Conference Administrator at the School of Mathematics. I joined the Industrial Liaison Office in the Faculty of Engineering in 2017, working alongside the School Research Director in the School of Civil, Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering to assist in continuously improving the research environment. Here I introduced and maintained a research funding application support process, and was the School's point of contact for open access, research funding information management and REF administration.
I joined the Research Development Team in the Research and Enterprise Division (RED) in June 2019 as Research Development Officer for the Faculties of Arts, Social Sciences and Law & Science. I work with the wider team and the academic community to identify funding opportunities & provide support for funding applications.
I create and circulate the fortnightly Faculty Funding Opportunities update, and provide assistance using Research Professional, the University's research funding news & opportunities portal.
Along with the Research Development Officers for Engineering, Health Sciences and Life Sciences, I update our internal and external web presence and provide administrative support to the Research Development team.
I work with the Research Development Associates to provide support and feedback on funding applications and to deliver training to the academic community.
