Biography
I am an electrical engineer specialized in power systems (Ph.D., M.Sc., Eng.) with broad international experience in Europe and Americas. Currently, I am a Senior Research Associate in Future Energy Networks at the University of Bristol working on the Supergen Energy Networks Hub. I also actively participate in IEEE Task Forces and CIGRE Working Groups and provide consultations on power system resilience and related topics for governments and energy companies.
I am mostly working on strengthening power grid resilience to extreme weather events now and in the future, considering large-scale transmission and distribution systems, planning and operational aspects, net zero carbon emissions targets, and sector couplings. Having covered a considerably wide range of aspects involved in power system resilience assessment and enhancement decisions with strong interdisciplinary and intersectoral contributions, I envisage to positively contribute to climate change mitigation and adaptation in energy systems worldwide.
