Research interests
Katja Krebs’ research interests are mainly in areas related to translation studies, theatre history and historiography, and adaptations for performance. She is particularly interested in the relationship between translation practice and dramatic tradition, and translation and adaptation practices, products and concepts. Related research interests include early twentieth-century European theatre history, pan-European theatre exchanges, and the investigation of translation as performative practice.
Katja would be keen to supervise research students interested in areas relating to translation and adaptation, historiography, nineteenth- and twentieth-century European theatre history, translation and theatre practice, and the construction of dramatic traditions.
