Research interests
I am conducting an MPhil in Medieval Studies, researching the relationship between vice, virtue and gender. My present research utilises the Chapter House depictions of the vices and virtues at Salisbury Cathedral (built 1266-1270) to consider how a gendered study of vice and virtue may highlight previous assumptions about medieval morality.
I graduated with a BA in History from the University of Bristol in 2025. My undergraduate dissertation focused on the medieval visionaries, Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179) and Elisabeth of Schönau (1129-1164/5), alongside the Fourth Lateran Council (1215), to highlight the role of female authority in a deeply patriarchal world of papal reform.
