Research interests
Julie graduated from the University of Bristol in 2000 and worked in mixed farm animal practice in North and Mid Wales for 10 years where she gained extensive experience working with large dairy, beef and sheep clients. In 2010 she assumed a residency in farm animal science at University of Liverpool gaining her Diploma in Bovine Reproduction in 2012. She returned to the University of Bristol in 2012 as a Clinical Teaching Fellow in farm animal science. Her main interest is in bovine reproduction and calf rearing although her days in Wales means she is also keen on sheep health and management. Her recent publications have focused on passive transfer in dairy calves. Julie is a diplomate of the European College of Bovine Health and Management and an RCVS specialist in Cattle Health and Production.
