Research interests
Funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, Jordan's work is in collaboration with Bristol City Council's Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller Support Service and youthwork organisation, Learning Partnership West. Her work ethnographically explores the processes, outcomes, and challenges of developing a 'third space' in which Gyspy, Roma and Traveller young people can develop skills for critical thinking and participation, taking action on issues which they are passionate about. Her work is embedded in a synthesis of Critical Race Theory, Critical Pedagogy, and Third Space Theory, providing a theoretical framework for research which is critically enagaged and deeply committed to social justice and transformation.
