Biography
In previous roles as a knowledge exchange professional my passion was seeing medical research being translated into patient benefit. I helped broker relationships with partners in business, industry, the public sector and charities to deliver interventions to those that need them.
I am an expert in developing applications for knowledge exchange funding and have brought in millions of pounds from the BBSRC, the MRC, the Wellcome Trust, NIHR and Innovate UK. My experience in health related impact was augmented by a 12 month secondment to Bristol Health Partners, where I project managed multisectoral teams to improve health and social care service delivery.
Previous roles have included improving doctoral training delivery across the GW4 Universities, coordinating the University’s REF2014 impact submission (5th for impact in the UK), and project work on a multi-million pound Gates Foundation project to deliver innovative water testing devices for use in developing countries.
