Biography
James is a Research & Impact Evaluation Associate at the University of Bristol. He is responsible for providing data and analysis across the university’s research and impact portfolios, with a particular focus on bibliometrics. As a subject-matter expert, he is responsible for promoting and advising on the responsible use of publication and citation metrics. James works closely with research information systems to develop new tools to capture, evaluate, and share research information, building APIs and Power BI dashboards for a range of platforms such as SciVal, OpenAlex, and Gateway to Research. He is also a member of the university’s Research Culture Committee and a Champion of ARMA's Research Evaluation special interest group.
