Research interests
Currently I am studying the internal mechanics of eukaryotic cilia and flagella. I'm interested in how individual molecular motor proteins act collectively to generate propagating waves that enable microorganisms to swim.
More broadly I'm interested in synchronisation patterns of oscillators with biological applications. I look at analytical and numerical techniques applied to systems far from equilbrium, and methods to fit experimental data with nonlinear differential equation models.
