Research interests
My research focuses on dismemberment on the early modern stage, investigating the intersection between medical humanities, classical reception, and stage materiality. I am interested in the practicalities and emotional affect of dismembering violence in the early modern period with a particular focus on the reciprocity between the anatomical theatre and the dramatic theatre. My work also engages with the reception and adaptation of Classical tragedies in this period.
