Research interests
My main research interest are infectious diseases epidemiology and the evaluation of public health interventions and services. I am particularly interested in the surveillance, prevention and control of infectious diseases and environmental hazards. My other areas of interest include antibiotic resistance, emergency preparedness and response, sexual health and the mental health impact of major incidents. I lead the National Study of Flooding and Health a longitudinal study aimed at understanding the impact of flooding on mental health and wellbeing.
