Research interests
I am a Chilean Sociologist and Journalist. I have worked as a researcher at the Catholic University of Chile, in environmental NGOs as well as in the Chilean Ministry of Education. My research focuses on the politics of policymaking, citizen participation in policy processes and the changes in policymaking under neoliberal governance.

I have ten years’ experience of running lectures and seminars in the areas of social policy, social research methods and social theory at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. I have worked as both convenor and teaching assistant on the unit 'Segregation and Inequality in International perspective'. In addition, I have been working as a teaching assistant on the units 'Key concepts, theories and ideologies in Social Policy', 'Understanding Public Policy', 'Social Research Methods', 'Representations of Crime and Harm' and the unit 'Informing and Evaluating Policy' of the MSc in Public Policy.
