Research interests
Eric is a volcanologist and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Bristol. His research focuses on the dynamics of volcanic plumes, using mathematical and numerical models and fluid-dynamical experiments to understand their behaviour and interaction with the atmosphere. His work also examines the dynamics of volcanic deformation and unrest as volcanic systems approach eruption. More broadly, he is interested in how physical models and geophysical observations can be combined to improve eruption forecasting.
