Research interests
I am a forest soil ecologist with interests in the biotic and abiotic drivers of carbon cycling across European forests. I am particularly interested in decomposition of litter and deadwood, and how heterogenous variation in soil microclimate drives variation in the below-ground decomposer community with consequences for carbon and nutrient cycling.
