Mr Emanuele Fanesi
Expertise
I work on better understanding deep-earth processes involving water and hydrogen storage, fluid dynamics, and deep carbon cycle, through high pressure and temperature experiments which replicate deep earth conditions.

Research interests
Previously working on rheology and viscosity modelling of vulcanic melts at the University of Camerino, Italy. I am currently exploring the deep-Earth world, trying to better understand water and hydrogen storage, as well as fluid dynamics, and deep carbon cycle at those conditions.
I am using state-of-art methodologies to characterize deep-earth environments, taking into account wide ranges of pressure, temperatures, and oxygen fugacity.
At the same time, I am investigating natural hydrogen formation, and possible links useful to industrial eploitation, as well as novel hydrogen storage solid-state phases.
