Biography
The University's 2030 strategy includes a pillar on civic engagement for the first time. It outlines the ways in which the University can be force for good in the region through our research and teaching, our engagement and outreach activities, our role as an employer and in procurement, and as a neighbour.
My role is to support the delivery of the activities within the strategy and to work to meet our ambitious objectives by 2030.
In this role I convene collaborative projects with local partners and communities, support staff and students to develop their ideas, manage funding streams to kickstart new activities and I also support the University's governance for civic engagement through the University Civic Engagement Committee.
I have previously worked in Public Engagement with Research, in education and in the voluntary sector.
