Biography
I graduated from the University of Bristol with a BSc in Sociology and Social Policy in 2004.
Following eighteen months working for the NHS in Stoke-on-Trent, running healthcare careers outreach programmes, I returned to the University to take up the post of Outreach and Summer Schools Officer in the Widening Participation and Undergraduate Recruitment Office. In 2012 I was appointed as WP and Undergraduate Recruitment Manager and in 2015 became UK Student Recruitment Manager, a role overseeing the delivery of the University’s strategy for the recruitment of all home students at undergraduate and postgraduate taught level including widening participation activities.
In July 2018 I was appointed to the role of Deputy Director of Home Recruitment and Conversion. My responsibilities include leading on the Access and Participation Plan submission and subsequent monitoring, liaising with the Office for Students and overseeing the ongoing diversification of the student body. I am Vice Chair of the local governing body of Merchants' Academy an all age academy in south Bristol. I'm also responsible for overseeing the delivery of key recruitment events such as open days and offer holder days.
