Biography
Professor Acker trained and worked as a chartered accountant, moving to the University of Bristol in 1992 with a temporary lectureship in Finance and Accounting. She then studied for a PhD funded by a CATER fellowship awarded by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales; and was awarded a permanent lectureship at Bristol in 1997. She became Professor of Finance and Accounting in 2006 and retired at the end of 2020.
Research interests
Daniella Acker's research interests include the estimation of returns distributions, impacts of accounting events, returns volatility, corporate structure and taxation, and behavioural finance.
