Biography
I am a veterinarian graduated from the National University of Colombia in 2019. I greatly enjoy clinical practice and research in a wide variety of species, particularly non-domestic ones, and I have worked, volunteered and undertaken externships in different hospital, zoological and wildlife rehabilitation settings in Colombia and Canada.
Before starting my PhD, I completed a MSc focused on avian immunology in 2021, a zoological, exotic, and wildlife medicine internship in 2022, a small animal rotating internship in 2023, and a wildlife rehabilitation medicine internship in 2024. In April of 2025, I completed all the requirements to be fully licensed as a veterinarian in Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand.
