Biography
Claire is the GW4 Alliance's Health and Wellbeing Manager. A molecular microbiologist by training, Claire undertook research in infectious diseases and microbiology at the universities of London, Birmingham and Bath before moving into business and then research management. Previous roles include Acting Scientific Manager of BrisSynBio (maternity cover); Manager and Research Facilitator of the EPSRC-funded BristolBridge 'Bridging the Gaps' antimicrobial resistance (AMR) network and the subsequent Bristol AMR research network, and Programme Manager of the Medical Research Foundation National PhD Training Programme in AMR Research which is led by Bristol.
As part of the GW4 Health and Wellbeing remit, Claire also manages the GW4 AMR Alliance which focuses on developing One Health AMR research across the universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter.
