My primary research interests are: the history of Egyptology, museums and collecting; funerary archaeology; Scottish history and culture; Scottish Gaelic language and literature. My PhD thesis focuses on the emergence and development of the study of ancient Egypt in Scotland and its impact on popular culture and academia.
