Research interests
I am a Research Fellow in Primary Care Mental Health, using mixed-methods with interests in:
- The labelling and diagnosis of anxiety disorders
- The pharmacological management of anxiety, with a particular interest in non-SSRI/antidepressant prescribing - benzodiazpines, beta-blockers, antipsychotics and anticonvulsants
- Anxiety and depression in young adults, and the role of social media and online activity
- Using large primary care databases such as the Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) to investigate trends in diagnosis, referrals and prescribing for anxiety and depression
