My research interests are mainly in nanotechnology and surface science. In that respect I have experience of ambient condition scanning tunnelling microscopy and low temperature(8K) UHV STM-AFM combined system having external magnetic field. These characterization techniques have been used to study structural, electronic, spintronic and spectroscopic properties of defects at atomic scale resolution. 

In my PhD work I am going to do work on electrodeposition of metal (Ni) thin film on gold and study of its surface and internal morphology using HS AFM and TEM by changing differnet parameters like deposition rate.
