Research interests
Artemio Arturo Cortez Ochoa is a Lecturer in Education and pathway lead of the MSc in Leadership and Policy at the School of Education, University of Bristol. Previous to this role, he was a Research Associate at the Research for Equitable Access and Learning Centre at the University of Cambridge, working in the Leaders in Teaching initiative in Rwanda. His research interests include policy, research and practice related to quality education and educational improvement in global south contexts, as well as school leaders’ and teachers’ initial education and continuing professional development. He has conducted research using quantitative, qualitative and mixed-methods approaches. Artemio has collaborated on UNESCO projects and is co-editor of Decolonising Education for Sustainable Futures. He gained professional experience as a primary, secondary, and higher education teacher in Mexico and has taught undergraduate and master’s level students in England.
Artemio Arturo Cortez Ochoa es docente de Educación y coordinador del programa MSc en Liderazgo y Política en la Escuela de Educación de la Universidad de Bristol. Previo a este rol, fue investigador asociado en el Research for Equitable Access and Learning Centre de la Universidad de Cambridge, trabajando en la iniciativa Leaders in Teaching de Rwanda. Sus intereses en investigación incluyen aspectos de la política, la investigación y la práctica relacionados con calidad educativa y mejora de la educación en contextos situados en el sur global.
