Biography
Hello! I am a sociologist of education. Over a number of years I have been examining the politics of education reform in the Indian and Australian contexts as well as the global governance of childhood and the family.
Underlying this work has been an abiding interest in the politics of knowledge. This led me to explore the contested ‘science’ of education in international development, as well as the active erasures of racism and coloniality in the field of education.
Ongoing questions about the relationship between epistemic justice and racial justice in education sustain my current thinking, research and teaching.

Teaching
I teach across the School of Education's undergraduate and masters programmes. I am interested in hearing from prospective doctoral students whose are looking to conduct research on race and racism in international and comparative education, particularly from historical and sociological perspectives.
