Research interests
My research explores trans and gender diverse people’s experiences of trans-for-trans (t4t) romantic relationships in India. I am interested in understanding how people’s identities (including gender) are experienced, produced and affirmed in relationship with others. I extend on Malatino’s (2019) theorization of t4t as a praxis of love to examine what t4t intimacies make possible for trans people and the tensions that persist.
