Biography
Before joining the University of Bristol, he held lecturing/ teaching roles at the University of Brighton Business School and the University College London Management Science and Information Department. He used a teaching approach that emphasised the integration of theoretical frameworks with practical applications, ensuring that students were well-prepared to address real-world challenges in project management.
Akinyo's keen interest in the psychological aspects of important social issues is evident in his research. He focuses on understanding and addressing performance-related issues within project management and organisational settings. His research interests span various disciplines, including project management, knowledge management, business resilience, and sustainability. Through his unique and inspiring interdisciplinary approach, he seeks to develop and integrate comprehensive solutions to complex social issues within the workplace.
Dr. Ola's role extends beyond teaching and research. As a Fellow of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a work psychologist, he brings his practical experiences when consulting on business development, project management, internal control, performance management, business resilience and sustainability for several organisations.
