Biography
Throughout my education and career I have had a keen interest in environmental science. I approached the subject from a geological perspective, taking geology at various grades before completing a MSci in Environmental Geoscience at Cardiff University. I shifted focus whilst doing my MSci from geology to plant-soil interactions, with a specific focus on chemical techniques. During my PhD (at the University of Bristol) I furthered my knowledge/skills, looking into gas chemistry related to wetland restoration. I continued my pursuit of learning analytical techniques by becoming a technician in 2016, looking at soil and water analysis in further detail. Over the past 8 years, I have been working as a teaching technician and have acquired/furthered my experience with the following analyses: GC, IC, ICP-OES, EA, VA and XRF, as well as sample prep/field sampling techniques.
