Welcome back! (September 2014)

Explorers welcomes all new and returning students for the 2014/15 academic year! Our term programme for the autumn term is online and we have some taster walks this year during welcome fortnight. Find out how to join.

Summer break (July 2014)

Term and exams are over and we've just come back from a glorious summer trip in the Pyrenees that included ice-axing over snow fields, a campsite with a pool and jacuzzi, waterfalls hundreds of metres high, many delicious variations on French crêpes and an unexpected free night in a four-star hotel!

Some of us are still around over the summer and we'll be going on walks, of course - drop any of the committee an e-mail if you're intrested in joining in. Otherwise, see you at the start of next term in September!

New committee (March 2014)

A warm welcome to the new committee 2014/15. Rhodri takes over as president with Becky promoted to vice president and Miranda stays on as secretary, David is our new general assistant. Welcome to Callum, our new equipment officer and thanks to Darby, Sarah, Bea, Caroline, James and Jasper for their role in leading Explorers over the past year.

We made the top 10! (November 2013)

The BMC votes Bristol among the top 10 universities in England/Wales for climbers and walkers, thanks to Explorers, Expeditions and the mountaineering club. Read all about it. Huge thanks to all Explorers past and present for helping to make this happen!
