Professor Liz Lloyd

Biography

Liz Lloyd is social gerontologist with particular interest in health and social care policies on ageing and the ethics of care. Recent research has included a project in the New Dynamics of Ageing Programme: Maintaining Dignity in Later Life: Older People's Experiences of Support and Care and a project funded through the ESRC as part of the ERA Age programme: 'Healthy Ageing in Residential Places'. This is part of an ongoing larger international research project: 'Reimagining Long Term Residential Care'. She has recently begun work as Chief Investigator on a project funded through the National Institute for Health Research (School for Social Care Research) 'Support for Older Carers of Older People: the Impact of the 2014 Care Act'.
