Professor Ken Fox

Over the years, Ken has produced over 300 research and professional papers and has been made a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health of the Royal College of Physicians, the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences, the UK Physical Education Association and an International Fellow of the American Academy of Kinesiology and Physical Education for his contributions to the field. In July 2008, he was the proud recipient of an honorary doctorate from the University of Coimbra, one of the oldest academic institutions in Europe.  He is married to Linda and has two grown up sons. He still tries to play 5-a-side football and enjoys cycling, and is seen occasionally playing drums with a modern but ageing jazz group. In August 2011 he took  the title of Professor Emeritus to allow him to focus his energies on research and consultancy in physical activity and public health. He also has a part time appointment as Professor of Physical Activity and Ageing at the University of Birmingham.
