Dr Geetanjali Gangoli
PhD, MPhil, MA
Geetanjali Gangoli has worked on violence against women and feminist movements in India with a special emphasis on legal activism. She has also researched on issues around sex work, trafficking and social policy in South Asia.
Geetanjali has taught at the University of Delhi (1995-7); been a visiting research fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science (1999-2000) and worked as a Research Fellow at the International Centre for the Study of Violence and Abuse, University of Sunderland.
Her recent work has been a comparative study of young people's experience of violence and abuse within the family in China and the UK and an assessment of domestic violence provisions in West Newcastle.

I work on different aspects of violence against women including domestic violence and forced marriage in the UK among South Asian communities. I also research on law and feminisms in India, and on sex work and trafficking in South Asia.
