Research summary

Broadly, my professional and research interests are in the interdisciplinary, cross-sectoral issues of environmental sustainability and, more specifically, community action, energy and climate change, and sustainable urban environments.

Over the past few years my research has focussed on grassroots and collaborative activity in response to issues of environmental sustainability, particularly at the city scale.

Biography

Caroline's current role as Future Cities and Communities Knowledge Exchange Manager in the interdisciplinary Cabot Institute aims to bring social sciences expertise to address the problems of creating a sustainable future city. Bristol was the European Green Capital for 2015 and this presented a unique opportunity to mobilise a range of city thinkers to engage with the potential and legacy of being a green capital.
