Personal profile

Filippo Dionigi is a lecturer of politics and international relations.
His research is focused on the application of International Relations theory to the study of Middle Eastern affairs. He has worked on Islamist political actors and international norms and he is currently researching the impact of the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq.

Filippo Dionigi was awarded a PhD in International Relations at the London School of Economics in 2012,  he was a Postdoctoral Leverhulme Research Fellow at the LSE Middle East Centre from 2014 to 2017. He has been a visiting fellow at the American University of Beirut and he is a member of the Steering Committee of the ECPR Migration and Ethnicity Standing Group.
