Summary

Activities / Findings

I'm a health economist with an interest in the evaluation of complex interventions including, at present, the specific challenges of evaluations in child and adolescent health. My current involvement includes a number of projects relating to burns and scalds as part of The Scar Free Foundation and Centre for Children's Burns Research. My methodological interest is around the development and analysis of outcome measures that span all ages.

While my more recent work experience is in trial-based Economic Evaluations in Primary Care and the community, my PhD (Birmingham, UK) involved evidence synthesis of test accuracy statistics and service delivery modelling. Prior to this I did a Masters in Economics (Edinburgh) (dissertation: game and decision theoretic approaches applied to human rights agreements) and an undergraduate honours degree in Economics and English Literature (St Andrews).

I'm also a research advisor to the Research Design Service (South West) providing health economic advice for funding applications. I am teaching on the COMP course for the forthcoming academic year.
