More about this project

Our UK National Institute of Health Research funded programme was launched in October 2009. It is a collaboration between:

• University of Bristol
• London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
• Institute of Psychiatry
• Domestic Violence Training Ltd
• Bristol Next Link
• Cardiff Women's Aid
• Guy's & St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust (Genitourinary Department)

The four workstreams are sited in general practice, sexual health clinics and 3rd sector domestic violence agencies. The topics range from the prevalence of domestic violence in health care settings and the health care response for men as victims or perpetrators to improving outcomes for women seeking help from domestic violence agencies with a psychological intervention.
